 Cayuga Elementary School celebrated Read Across America Day. Everyone in the school spent fifteen minutes reading in the hallway. It was a great way to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday!

February Students of the Month The character trait for the month of February was honesty. The children who demonstrated this characteristic were treated to a sundae party with Mrs. LaDouce. These boys and girls showed their teachers that they were honest by ALWAYS telling the truth, (even when it is hard!)and for being trustworthy and turning in items that ... January Students of the Month The character trait for the month of January was RESPECT. The students demonstrated this characteristic by showing respect to their teachers and classmates. These children can be counted on to be good listeners, treat others the way that they wish to be treated and to follow the rules in and outside of the classroom. The chil... Hats for Haiti Students at Cayuga and AJ Smith wanted to help the people in Haiti to recover from the devastating earthquake. The students paid a quarter to wear their favorite hats in school all day. Together the two schools raised four hundred dollars which was sent to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Students have been nominated for this characteristic because they have demonstrated kindness, understanding and helpfulness.
